Experience and knowledge of working on projects from private residences through to urban planning, we offer clients the expertise to work on designs of any size.

As qualified architects and professors, directors Alistair Gill and Veronika Schmid have always worked at the very forefront of the field, having been exposed to a wide range of design/ architectural methodologies and approaches. A mixture of cutting-edge knowledge, and a deep understanding of traditional/ established and historical design issues is what separates GSD from most design offices.

Prior to establishing Gill Schmid Design both directors have worked for renowned yacht designers and architects, namely Martin Francis, Richard Meier, and Cecil Balmond amongst others, being part and leading projects as groundbreaking as the iconic Villa Gardone, a series of ultra-luxurious beachfront residential and hospitality buildings in Jesolo, the Battersea masterplan and the visionary weave bridge.
